Hills scorched after wildfire rages through more than 10,000 acres
The hills in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Spain, are charred after a wildfire scorched more than 10,000 acres of land. The fire sparked up on Aug. 18 and quickly spread, forcing 9,000 people to flee their homes. Firefighting crews are still on scene, but winds have calmed down, making their efforts a bit easier.
