One hundred years on from the Peterloo Massacre a solitary figure sings the "La Marseillaise" while soberly waving a red flag on August 16 in Manchester, UK.The man commemorates the incident in which mounted police charged with sabres drawn into a group of between 60,000 to 80,000 protesters demanding reform of parliamentary representation. The incident caused 18 deaths and between 400-700 injuries.
